The New York Giants were red hot on Sunday, recording four sacks, six takeaways and 31 points en route to an upset victory over the Washington Commanders at FedEx Field in Landover, Maryland.
It was Big Blue’s first victory since defeating Washington in Week 7 and just their third of the season. The win undoubtedly felt good for all in the locker room, but it didn’t take long before some cold water was poured on the celebration. Literally.
As the Giants readied themselves to clean up and head back to East Rutherford, they were met with an unfortunate problem: No hot water in their showers.
“We had an equipment failure in the main water heater that provides hot water to the field-level locker rooms,” the Commanders told Pro Football Talk in a statement. “We can’t resolve the matter without completely shutting off the water to the stadium, which is why it couldn’t be repaired in-game.”
It’s not the field time FedEx Field has experienced this issue, but that offered no solace to Giants players, who were less than jubilant over the situation.

“You see my hair? No hot water,” Giants rookie quarterback Tommy DeVito said to open his postgame press conference.
Washington may be a multibillion-dollar franchise, but their stadium remains among the worst in professional sports.
