The New York Giants (6-2) will take on the Houston Texans (1-6-1) this Sunday afternoon at MetLife Stadium in their ninth game of the 2022 regular season.
Experts are leaning entirely toward New York this week — 10:0 — with some of those expecting a sound victory.
How does the Giants Wire staff see this Week 10 battle shaking out? Here’s a look at our picks and score predictions:
Dan Benton: Giants 24, Texans 20
The Giants never win easily, and even with the Texans sitting at 1-6-1, you shouldn’t expect that to change on Sunday. New York does benefit from having two weeks to prepare for a game against Houston at home, but they’re just not a runaway team. Even still, they rebound after a tough loss to Seattle.

John Fennelly: Giants 20, Texans 16
Just like every other game they’ve played this season, the Giants will struggle to score but this is a prime spot for Saquon Barkley to shine and have a huge day. The defense will do enough to preserve the win against a banged-up Texans’ offense. Winning ugly is becoming their calling card.
Tyler Henry: Giants 27, Texans 15
The Giants opened as almost touchdown favorites, which is not something that was expected going into the season. Considering the records of the two teams the spread should probably be bigger, but the Giants’ lack of scoring ability has likely prevented that.
I expect the Giants to come into this one and handle the Texans pretty easily. The new coaching staff seems to have the team come to play ever week, so I don’t expect them to overlook the 1-6-1 Texans.
The Giants will get back a motivated Kenny Golladay but the loss of Xavier McKinney will be a tough one for the defense. Stopping the run will be key in this game, but I expect the Giants to ride the legs of Saquon Barkley and win pretty comfortably on Sunday.
Kevin Hickey: Giants 21, Texans 17
Coming out of the bye week, the Giants should be able to get back into the win column. While the Texans have proven they can put up a good fight, the Giants are the better team. As has been the case in most weeks, Saquon Barkley will make the biggest difference against a Texans defense that ranks 30th in total DVOA and 32nd in rushing DVOA, according to Football Outsiders. Both Barkley and Daniel Jones add rushing touchdowns while Dexter Lawrence wreaks havoc in the middle.
Jeevan Kirkland: Giants 27, Texans 17
The New York Giants are coming off their bye a little bit healthier than before. They will be rested and ready to take on a struggling Houston Texans team that has one win this season. The offense should get a little spark plug with Kenny Golladay back from injury and should be able to attack a poor Texans run defense. To remain a top team this is a must-win for Big Blue.
Serena Burks: Giants 24, Texans 10
Everyone is picking the Giants to win for the first time all season, and I agree. The Giants have some adversity to overcome, but the Texans simply don’t have the ability to beat the Giants this week. Lots of potential on that team, but they aren’t there yet.
