The New York Giants were defeated by the Detroit Lions in East Rutherford, New Jersey on Sunday afternoon.
This was a devastating blow for Big Blue as they fell back to earth after a 7-2 start to the season. With this 31-18 defeat, New York falls to 7-3 and is in third place in the NFC East coming into a Thanksgiving matchup with the Dallas Cowboys.
Everything was going wrong for the Giants in this matchup as they failed to get the job done in every aspect of the game. However, one of the lone bright spots in this contest was Wan’Dale Robinson.
The rookie wide receiver finally had his breakout game where he recorded nine catches for 100 yards. Robinson also added four yards rushing on one attempt.
The rookie was a stable target for Jones and helped to extend several drives. He had only 127 receiving yards coming into this game, so with this performance the rookie almost doubled his output.
Sadly the game ended with Robinson suffering a knee injury, which removed him from the rest of the game. Hopefully for New York, the rookie can get healthy as they will need him to finish out this season.
To make it official, Wan'Dale Robinson quickly ruled OUT with a knee injury. The rookie career had a career high 10 touches (nine catches) for 104 yards (100 receiving) before he got hurt.

Wan'Dale Robinson's career high touches in a game before today was 6.
He has 6 touches in today's first half to tie it.

Wan’Dale Robinson is becoming a very trustworthy outlet for Daniel Jones.
Converted for another first down on the next play as well. pic.twitter.com/OrzAfgOjho
