Giants vs. Cardinals Player of the Game: Daniel Jones

The New York Giants defeated the Arizona Cardinals, 31-28, on Sunday afternoon in Glendale.

This was a much-needed win for New York as the season looked all but over as the Giants were down 21 points in the third quarter. They would then go on to outscore the Cardinals, 31-8, in the second half to secure what looked like a season-altering comeback.

This comeback came on the shoulders of Daniel Jones who was by far the Player of the Game for the Giants.

Jones had a difficult first half that saw him throw an interception on a play where Saquon Barkley should have caught the ball. The interception and return ended up leading to the Cardinals going up 20 points as the game went into halftime. That marked six straight scoreless quarters for Jones & Co. (outscored 60-0) but he would quickly change that.

On the first drive out of halftime, the former Duke quarterback led his team 75 yards down the field and capped off the first Giants score of the season with a 14-yard rush. Jones would then go on to lead his team to three more touchdown drives, making it four straight to start the second half.

Over that span, Jones passed for two touchdowns and connected on various deep balls with players like Jalin Hyatt and Darius Slayton.

Jones would then go on to lead the game-winning drive which ended in a Graham Gano field goal which marked a 21-point comeback for Big Blue. He finished the day with 321 passing yards and two touchdowns to go along with 59 rushing yards and one touchdown.
