Giants vs. Cardinals: NFL experts make Week 2 picks

The New York Giants (0-1) will visit the Arizona Cardinals (0-1) at State Farm Stadium in Glendale, Arizona on Sunday afternoon.

Opening the week, the Giants were listed as 4.5-point road favorites and that line has only improved for them in recent days. They are now -5.5 as of this writing.

Let’s take a look at who some of the experts and insiders around the league are taking in the Week 2 matchup:

Expert Pick Score (if applicable)
Dan Graziano (ESPN) Giants N/A
Matt Bowen (ESPN) Giants N/A
Seth Wickersham (ESPN) Giants N/A
Pete Prisco (CBS) Giants 23-21
John Breech (CBS) Giants 20-13
Jared Dubin (CBS) Giants N/A
Nate Davis (USA TODAY) Giants 27-20
Lorenzo Reyes (USA TODAY) Giants 21-10
Bill Bender (Sporting News) Giants  24-17
Vinnie Iyer (Sporting News) Giants  23-17

Given how poorly the Giants played to open the season, it’s shocking to see them favored so heavily against Arizona. Even with the Cardinals in the midst of a rebuild, you’d think there would be some stragglers.

Most do view it as a one-score game but they also believe the Giants will come out on top.

In total, 99 percent of all “experts” are selecting the Giants to win on Sunday, according to NFL Pickwatch. That’s even more than the fans, who have Big Blue winning at an 85 percent clip.
