The New York Giants defeated the Cleveland Browns, 21-15, at Huntington Bank Field on Sunday and rookie wide receiver Malik Nabers is our Player of the Game.
The Giants are now 1-2 as they gain a win against a playoff team from last season. For the second week in a row, the offense scored three touchdowns, and the defense allowed under 20 points. While playoffs may not be in the future this season there are some clear bright spots for the future of this organization.
The biggest bright spot for Big Blue is Nabers. For the third straight week, he is the Player of the Game.
At this point, Nabers is far and away the Offensive Rookie of the Year. After finishing with eight catches for 78 yards and two touchdowns in this outing, the rookie now has 23 catches for 271 receiving yards and three touchdowns this season.
The LSU product dazzled in Week 3 with his elite ball skills, Mossing a defender on one errant pass and making a twirling grab in the end zone at the end of the first half to put the Giants up two scores.
Jones and Nabers appear to be forming an amazing connection and will look to continue it next week against the Dallas Cowboys on Thursday night.
