Last June, San Francisco Giants outfielder/first baseman Lamonte Wade Jr. made team history, hitting the 100th “splash hit” home run at Oracle Park, which borders McCovey Cove in the outfield.
The grand splash hit total at Oracle Park, which opened in 2000, currently sits at 103. However, there has only been one so far in 2024, which came off Patrick Bailey’s bat back in April.
As the Giants prepare to celebrate the one-year anniversary of Wade’s feat on Sunday as they host the New York Yankees, they’re commemorating the event in an awesome way.
The first 20,000 fans to arrive at Oracle Park will receive a bobblehead of Wade, complete with working water cannons.

It also features the number 100 on the splash hit counter.
Splash hits are one of the coolest traditions in baseball and make Oracle one of its most unique venues. And if you’re heading to the ballpark on Sunday, make sure you get there early.
After all, who wouldn’t want a bobblehead with water cannons?
