The New York Giants signed quarterback Davis Webb and punter Jamie Gillan to reserve/futures contracts, the team announced Monday.
Webb, who was a third-round pick with the Giants during the 2017 NFL draft, returns to Big Blue with new head coach Brian Daboll. The Texas Tech product was waived before the regular season in 2018 and was the backup for the New York Jets for some of that campaign.
Webb also spent the last three seasons on the practice squad for the Buffalo Bills so he has some experience working with Daboll.
Gillan, who has been dubbed the “Scottish Hammer,” is a native of Inverness, Scotland. The 24-year-old punter spent roughly three seasons with the Cleveland Browns (2019-2021). He was named to the PFWA All-Rookie Team in 2019.
Gillan also spent time on the practice squad with the Bills toward the end of the 2021 season.
