New York Giants rookies reported for training camp this past Tuesday and already the team is now one short.
Rookie tight end Daniel Bellinger, who was taken in the fourth round of the 2022 NFL draft, has been placed on the physically unable to perform (PUP) list with a quad injury.

Bellinger had been working out with quarterback Daniel Jones and several of his new teammates prior to reporting to camp. However, it’s unclear exactly when this injury occurred or how much time the rookie is expected to miss.
The Giants can activate Bellinger from PUP at any point between now and the start of the regular season. If he remains on PUP once Week 1 rolls around, Bellinger will be forced to sit out a minimum of four weeks.
Bellinger had an impressive spring, displaying good hands and an ability to block at a high level. He was projected to start over Ricky Seals-Jones, who now has a golden opportunity.
