The New York Giants stormed into FedEx Field on Sunday and did something they had not done all season — dominated a game from start to finish.
Despite being near double-digit road underdogs, the Giants took it to the Washington Commanders, forcing six turnovers en route to a 31-19 shellacking of their NFC East rivals.
Quarterback Tommy DeVito stole headlines with his three-touchdown performance but running back Saquon Barkley, who tallied nearly 150 yards from scrimmage and two touchdowns, was the real star of the show.
As we enter Week 12, here’s a look at where the 3-8 Giants place in a multitude of power rankings.

They’re 2-0 against Washington, and 1-8 versus the rest of the league. All four of Big Blue’s first-half TDs this season have also come against the Commanders, who also brought out HC Brian Daboll’s lighter side when it came time to assess rookie QB Tommy DeVito.

Who needs a quarterback when you have Tommy DeVito and a defense that forces six turnovers?

Jarrett Bailey, Touchdown Wire:
Tommy DeVito has the most touchdown passes by a Giants quarterback through his first two starts in team history. So there’s that, I guess.

Dalton Miller, Pro Football Network:
For the first time since becoming the Giants’ starting quarterback, Tommy DeVito found himself in an offensive environment that was competitive relative to the defense he faced. Washington’s defense was bad when they had Chase Young and Montez Sweat. It’s impossibly bad now.
But DeVito made a few impressive plays against Washington, including his downfield wheel in the bucket to Saquon Barkley. New York evidently has Washington’s number because they swept the season series against them while looking like an FCS team against most other teams.

Vinnie Iyer, The Sporting News:
The Giants got off the mat with surprising stellar play from rookie Tommy DeVito, despite being sacked nine times in Washington. That was some needed overachieving offensive-based coaching by Brian Daboll, but the defense also was inspired to come through.

Just like that, Tommy DeVito has cost the Giants the inside track at Caleb Williams or Drake Maye.
