New York Giants assistant head coach and offensive coordinator, Mike Kafka, will serve as head coach for the National Team at the 2025 Senior Bowl on Saturday, February 1.
On the opposite side of the field, Giants running backs coach Joel Thomas will take on the role of offensive coordinator for the American Team.
But those two will not be the only Giants coaches on staff.
Giants assistant secondary coach Mike Adams will also head to Mobile, Alabama where he will serve as defensive backs coach for the American Team.
For Adams, who spent 16 years in the NFL and earned two Pro Bowl nods, this will be his second consecutive year on staff at the Senior Bowl. In 2024, he served as special teams coordinator alongside Giants quarterbacks coach Shea Tierney, who had been named an offensive coordinator.
At last year’s Senior Bowl, Adams became enamored with cornerback Andru Phillips, whom the Giants later selected in the third round of the 2024 NFL draft.
The 43-year-old Adams joined the Giants as an assistant special teams coach in 2023 after one season coaching with the Chicago Bears (2021). He was moved to assistant secondary coach this past season.
