Despite the team putting together its first multi-game playoff run since 2011, the Giants' offense is in significant flux heading into the offseason.
In addition to quarterback Daniel Jones's well-known desire for a contract worth over $45 million per year, running back Saquon Barkley appears to be a candidate for a payday as well—whether by New York or another team as he prepares to hit free agency.
With big decisions looming, the Giants have met with Texas running back Bijan Robinson at the NFL combine in Indianapolis, he confirmed on Saturday morning, per SNY.
Robinson, who has been compared to Barkley by ESPN’s Todd McShay during this draft cycle, ran for 3,410 yards in three years with the Longhorns. In 2022, he finished ninth in the Heisman voting, the highest finish for a Texas player since D'Onta Foreman finished eighth in 2016.
Free agency begins on March 15 and the draft is scheduled to follow on April 27.
