Mock drafts for the 2023 NFL Draft, anyone? That’s right, they exist, even without a single team reporting for training camp for the 2022 season yet.
The folks at Tankathon already have their early mock in place and the New York Giants are — brace yourselves — selecting in the Top 10 again meaning their in for another losing season in 2022.
Tankathon predicts Big Blue will be selecting ninth overall and taking Clemson’s Myles Murphy, a 6-foot-5, 275-pound prospect who they have ranked as their No. 2 edge rusher.
Unlike this season, when they had two Top 10 picks, the Giants have just one first rounder in 2023.
Other notables taken in the first round of this draft are Ohio State quarterback C.J. Stroud, taken first overall by Atlanta, Alabama quarterback Bryce Young, taken third overall by Detroit, and LSU linebacker B.J. Ojulari, the younger brother of Giants’ linebacker Azeez Ojulari. He is projected to be taken by New England at No. 16.
Finally, in Round 2, the Giants select Boston College quarterback Phil Jurkovec. And interesting and odd pair of projected picks for Big Blue.
