Giants’ Julian Love takes aim at Nick Sirianni: ‘He’s in it for a free ride’

Philadelphia Eagles head coach Nick Sirianni is not well-liked by his team’s opponents. He’s viewed as loud, arrogant, and egotistical. There are even some in Philly who believe that.

Like so many others, New York Giants safety Julian Love isn’t a fan. And during a Thursday appearance on Good Morning Football, Love let his feelings be known.

“He’s a guy who, really, is doing a good job because he’s not getting in the way of his team,” Love said. “He has an experienced roster from top to bottom — offense and defense.”

As far as Sirianni’s antics?

“I don’t like it. I don’t like it at all,” Love said. “He’s in it for a free ride right now. You guys can coach this team. I mean, come on.”

There are probably some sour grapes after the Eagles bounced the Giants from the NFC Playoffs in the divisional round, but there is also a level of truth to Love’s words.

Sirianni has been blessed with an extremely deep and talented roster. All he has to do in order to win is stay out of the way of his players and let them do their jobs. He’s an expert at that and also playing the role of a heel.

After an online outcry, Love doubled down on his comments.

The Eagles will take on the Kansas City Chiefs in Super Bowl LVII and you had better believe Love and the Giants will be cheering on Patrick Mahomes & Co.
