New York Giants quarterback Eli Manning still stands alone.
Despite a considerable push from Kansas City Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes, Cincinnati Bengals quarterback Joe Burrow and Los Angeles Rams quarterback Matthew Stafford, no one has thrown for more yards in a single NFL postseason than Eli.
Manning’s all-time record, which was set in 2011, nearly came crashing down after a decade. But Stafford fell just 32 yards short of surpassing Eli’s total and if not for a couple drops along the way, may have done it.
With Super Bowl LVI now in the books, here’s how the NFL’s all-time single-postseason passing leaders stack up:
- Eli Manning (2011): 1,219 yards
- Matthew Stafford (2021): 1,188 yards
- Kurt Warner (2008): 1,147 yards
- Joe Flacco (2012): 1,140 yards
- Tom Brady (2016): 1,137 yards
As far as Mahomes and Burrow, who each played well throughout the postseason this year, they finish with the following:
- Joe Burrow (2021): 1,105 yards
- Patrick Mahomes (2021): 1,057 yards
The NFL is very much a passing league now — more than it was in 2011 — so it stands to reason that Manning’s all-time record will soon fall. But at least for now, Easy-E remains at the tippy-top in this category (and many others) with all others looking up at him.
