The Giants kick off their Super Netball season with a face-off against fierce rivals West Coast, and the message is simple: win.
The sides have history, having finished first and second in 2018's Super Netball campaign - the table-topping Giants then falling to the Fever in the major semi-final.
They have traded blows ever since, with West Coast getting the better of the most recent clashes between the sides by winning both clashes last season.
On the hunt for a maiden championship in their eighth season, the Giants are bent on coming out on top in the pair's season-opening clash at Ken Rosewall Arena on Saturday.
Asked to outline her team's number one agenda item going into the match, newly minted co-captain Jamie-Lee Price did not miss a beat.
"To win," she said. "That will give us a lot of confidence for the season.
"We've worked so hard in this pre-season and we're just keen to get a win on the board for the first round."
The Giants finished sixth last year, missing finals after banking just five wins, while the Fever fell short of the season's showpiece following a one-point loss to the NSW Swifts in the preliminary final.
Price is confident the Giants' pre-season work has put her side in good stead, with star recruits also buoying the team.
The Fever attack will be given plenty to think about, with former Collingwood player Jodi-Ann Ward - named in goal defence for last season's team of the year - lining up for her Giants debut on Saturday.
New Zealand international mid-courter Sam Winders, the club's first signing from across the Tasman, will also play in her first game for the Giants.
"Last year was really hard in regards to trying to find our rhythm and we had a really disruptive pre-season which then led to a really disrupted season," Price said.
"This year, it's been really refreshing. We brought in some experience and we've got such a great, diverse (range) of players.
"We are working really hard on the court so I'm really looking forward to seeing what we can do this year."
