Giants Confirm QB Daniel Jones Suffered Torn ACL vs. Raiders

Giants quarterback Daniel Jones will miss the remainder of the season after suffering a torn ACL in Sunday’s game against the Raiders, head coach Brian Daboll announced on Monday.

A MRI confirmed Jones’s injury and the Giants signal caller will undergo surgery in preparation for the 2024 NFL season. Jones suffered the gruesome injury during the final play of the first quarter when he tripped over Giants tight end Lawrence Cager.

However, in the first play of the second quarter, Jones dropped back to make a pass when his knee buckled. As a result, Jones lost his balance and fell to the ground.

Although Jones walked off the field under his own power, he was immediately taken to the team's locker room. Tommy DeVito entered the game for the Giants in Jones’s absence.

On Sunday, Jones played in his first game since suffering a neck injury on Oct. 8 against the Dolphins. Through six games this season, Jones registered 909 yards, two touchdowns and six interceptions.

New York (2–7) will currently sit at the bottom of the NFC East and will return to action on Sunday in a road matchup against the Cowboys (5–3).
