The new offensive coordinator of the Cleveland Browns, Ken Dorsey, receives high praise from another former offensive coordinator in Cleveland in New York Giants head coach Brian Daboll.
Before he was the head coach in New York, Daboll was the offensive coordinator with the Buffalo Bills while Dorsey was the quarterbacks coach. After the Browns made Dorsey their new offensive coordinator Daboll had a lot of good things to say about Dorsey in an article published by Mary Kay Cabot.
“He’s very smart. He’s a good leader. He’s very good with scheme and X’s and O’s. He’s an extremely hard and efficient worker. He made my life as easy as possible. Not only is he a hard worker, but he has a vibrant killer instinct. He’s a known proven winner over the years.“
One of the more intriguing things Daboll highlighted was how much success and familiarity Dorsey has with developing the quarterback run game. The Browns struggled to incorporate that into their offense and something they have to figure out in 2024 to make the offense more dynamic and efficient.
High praise from the former Coach of the Year in Daboll as the Browns look to reshape their offense with Dorsey’s help.
