A giant Welsh bucket has appeared in Qatar's capital city Doha a week before Wales' first World Cup game. Rob Page's men will jet from Cardiff Airport to the host country on Tuesday before facing USA in their first group-stage game on Monday, November 21. They will then face Iran four days later and England on November 29 as they bid to progress to the knockout stages.
Ahead of the tournament's official kick-off this Sunday, when Qatar face Ecuador, the country's capital city has seen a giant bucket hat – part of Wales football fans' unofficial uniform – spring up near the Museum of Islamic Art where other countries will also be displaying their own art installations. Large structures of the popular accessory have also been placed in Cardiff, in The Hayes, and in Swansea's Castle Square.
Doha is set to become a hub for Wales football fans with a luxury hotel in the capital set to become an unofficial base for 1,200 fans by hosting several pre and post-match parties. Read more about that here. Some fans are also planning to stay in Dubai, around an hour's flight from Doha, while travelling for matches.
