Humble Bundle has assembled a huge game collection, to support aid-relief efforts in earthquake-stricken Turkey and Syria.
You can grab some solid titles for cheap while doing your part to help those dealing with the aftermath of the tragic natural disaster. A total of 72 games are available for as little as £24.92 including Calico, Cris Tales, Gotham Knights, Ghostrunner, Mount & Blade: Warband, PayDay 2, System Shock 2, XCOM 2, and more. Some of the games, like Non-Stop Raiders and Meow Express, were made by Turkish developers.
The total value of the bundle is more than $1,000 (£834.89), with 100 per cent of proceeds going to charity, according to Humble. The organisations that will receive the money include Direct Relief, International Medical Corps, and Save the Children.
It’s not often you can credit your video game sessions with helping out a good cause. Also included in the bundle are 10 current digital volumes of Image Comics’ Eisner Award-winning series Saga, and the Starfinder tabletop RPG from Paizo.
Turkey and Syria were struck by a deadly earthquake last month, that cost the lives of almost 50,000 people. AFAD, Turkey’s disaster management agency, said close to 10,000 aftershocks have hit the region affected by the quake since February 6.
The Humble Bundle has raised more than £2.16 million for charities so far. You have until 7pm, on Wednesday, March 8, to grab the games, so there’s still time to take advantage of the offer and do your bit for a good cause.
“The devastating earthquakes in Türkiye and Syria have created an urgent humanitarian crisis,” the company wrote.
“Hundreds of thousands of people are in immediate need of medical supplies, food, water, and shelter, and the road to recovery will continue to be extremely challenging for the people of the region. To lend a hand how we can, we’ve joined forces with game makers and book publishers for a bundle 100 per cent dedicated to supporting Türkiye-Syria quake relief efforts.”
