Antetokounmpo recently enjoyed a day at the beach with the Nigerian National Surf Team, the team’s social media account shared on Instagram.
“Giannis Antetokounmpo came to visit us a visit today. Thanks for keeping us inspired,” the post read.

Antetokounmpo’s Nigeria visit has put an emphasis on the nation’s continued rediscovery of surfing over the last few years. The effort to reemphasize the sport has been led by South African stylist Mikey February, as well as groups “Surfers Not Street Children and the “Mami Wata” brand.
