Ghost Adventures’ Aaron Goodwin files for divorce after his wife’s arrest in murder-for-hire plot

Ghost Adventures star Aaron Goodwin has reportedly filed for divorce from his wife, Victoria Goodwin, six days after she was arrested for allegedly hiring a hitman to kill him.

According to the divorce documents obtained by People, Aaron filed for divorce in Clark County, Nevada, on March 12.

In the filing, Aaron said his and Victoria’s “views, tastes, likes and dislikes” were now "incompatible to the extent that it has become impossible for them to live together as husband and wife in marital harmony.”

The filing also stated, There is no possibility of reconciliation between husband and wife.”

According to People, Aaron asked that neither party receive alimony and requested that his individual assets and debts, separate from Victoria, be confirmed as his sole property. Aaron also requested that he be paid back “his reasonable costs, expenses and attorney fees incurred herein,” in the complaint obtained by People.

The two have been married for three years. They tied the knot in 2022 at Disneyland’s Haunted Mansion.

Victoria was arrested on March 6 on charges of solicitation to commit murder and conspiracy to commit murder after she devised a plan to have her husband killed, cops said.

In an arrest report obtained by TMZ, a text message between Victoria Goodwin and an inmate in a Florida prison is cited. “Am I bad a person? Because I chose to end his existence. Not divorce,” Victoria allegedly wrote.

Victoria denied wanting to have her husband killed, according to TMZ’s report.

The murder plot was allegedly formed in October 2024. Authorities reportedly discovered the plan only after they seized the Florida inmate’s contraband phone. Police officials said Victoria gave information about her husband’s location to the inmate in a text, according to TMZ. Aaron was in California filming for Ghost Adventures at the time.

Victoria allegedly texted the inmate: “He's asleep right now in the hotel room ... I need to know what's going on. Can I get an update. Was it done?”

Police also said Victoria going to pay the alleged hitman an upfront payment of $2,500, and $11,515 in total.

According to law enforcement officials, Victoria admitted to having “marital problems” but claimed the alleged text exchanges between her the Florida inmate was her “daydreaming or fantasizing about being without her husband.”

Before meeting Aaron, Victoria was a collegiate golfer with aspiration to go pro one day. Her dreams ended when she was diagnosed with achalasia, a rare esophageal condition that makes it extremely hard to swallow food and move liquid into the stomach.
