Gethin Jones was all smiles after having surgery on his ankle.
The TV presenter said he was "looking forward to walking down stairs without pain" after he had a lateral ligament reconstruction.
The 43-year-old had to wait for the operation after he caught Covid over the Christmas period.
Alongside a snap of him from his hospital bed, he shared with his fans on Instagram that his surgery was "successful."
He typed: "A (pain) killer smile after a successful op! Been a bit of a wait to get it done 'cos of what's been happening, and then had to cancel 'cos of getting Omicron at Christmas... but I'm delighted to get it sorted.


"Anke arthroscopy & lateral ligament reconstruction. I'm looking forward to walking down the stairs without pain, going for a run again (eventually)!!
"But will now have to find another excuse for my bad golf!
"The lovely nurse Helen's only question... 'when it's you and Sam on @bbcmorninglive, who's gonna be sat for Strictly Fitness?!"
The Morning Live host had the procedure which is used to treat problems in the ankle joint including arthritis, fractures and instability.

He has been sent well wishes from his celebrity pals including is co-star Kimberley Walsh who wrote: "Yay it's done!!!!!! sending love, get better soon you know watching you do strictly fitness stood up is my fave thing to do".
Julia Bradbury added: "Wishing you a speedy recovery lovely," while Samia Longchambon said: "Ah hope your back on your feet soon".
Previosly speaking of having the surgery delayed just a few days before Christmas the Welsh native appeared on the show from home and said he'd had "a bit of a shocker".

He told guest hosts Sara Davies and Rav Wilding: "Like so many people all over the country at the moment for Christmas my plans changed over night.
"As you say, I was supposed to get ankle operation today, hence why I'm not with you on Morning Live, and then I had a positive PCR over the weekend which meant the operation was cancelled.

Gethin added: "Then I had to make that really horrible phone call to mum and dad who come to me for Christmas day and I was just saying to them it's not a cancellation, we're going to postpone it but we will get it done at some point, it's just the way it is.
"Obviously they were massively disappointed, I was looking forward to making them a steak I had loads of advice and tips about over the last couple of weeks.
"It is what is it, what can you do about it."
