Spring has officially sprung and what better way to celebrate the Easter holiday festivities than a trip to the farm.
Dumfries House is throwing open the doors to their Valentin’s Education Farm to the general public on four dates this April.
Families can get up close to cute creatures including fluffy lambs, hatching chicks and adorable piglets.
The Valentin’s Education Farm is usually only open to school kids, offering youngsters a true farm-to-fork experience, while also focussing on native livestock conservation.
But those able to get their hands on limited tickets can enjoy a family-friendly farm experience in a beautiful countryside setting.
Tours will be around an hour long and will run on the hour from 10am - 3pm, on Monday, April 3, Monday, April 10, Wednesday, April 12 and Friday, April 14.
Guests - who are encouraged to get their wellies on and dress appropriately for the weather and muddy farm conditions - will be introduced to rare breed animals including some new Spring additions.
Booking is essential for the limited tours. There is a minimum of one adult per three children, and it is compulsory to inform the estate of any allergies before your visit.
All cars should be parked in the main car park (KA18 2NJ) accessible from the A70 (not via Barony Road).
There will be limited disabled parking at the Tamar Manoukian Sports Hall.
An estate minibus will shuttle people back and forth from the main car park if they do not want to walk. There will be no parking at the farm.
