Some Manchester United supporters are calling for the club to try and complete a deal to bring Chelsea midfielder N'Golo Kante to Old Trafford this summer.
According to a report by the Guardian, United are interested in signing the France international in a bid to beef up their midfield options. They are in desperate need of adding fresh blood to their midfield this summer, particularly on the defensive side of the operation, and somebody of Kante's ilk could be just the ticket.
Kante is out-of-contract at Stamford Bridge in just over a year's time, meaning this summer could represent Chelsea's last chance to cash-in and secure a transfer fee for him, should he not choose to extend his current deal. It is claimed that United could look to try and capitalise on the situation.

Since arriving in the Premier League in 2015, joining Leicester City from French outfit Caen, Kante has established himself as one of the best defensive-midfielders in the world. Equipped with bundles of energy and a robustness to get around the pitch, he has gone from strength-to-strength over the last seven years, both for Leicester and Chelsea.
But despite some Chelsea supporters suggesting this season was his worst in a Blues shirt, with some claiming his age is beginning to catch up with him, he remained a key part of head coach Thomas Tuchel's plans, making 42 appearances in all competitions. He had to contend with the odd injury issue at different junctures during the campaign but they did not sideline him for too long.
With Kante still considered as one of the best in the business, reports linking him with the prospect of a summer move to Old Trafford has got United's fans on social media talking. Although, as with any transfer rumours, opinions are split, several United supporters would like to see him added to Erik ten Hag's squad this summer.
Below, MEN Sport has taken a close look at what some of them have had to say.
As you can see, some United fans are keen to see the former Leicester ace make the switch to Old Trafford this summer. Whilst reservations about Kante's age are understandable, he does remain one of the best ball-winning midfielders in the world and would be a certain upgrade on the Reds' current midfield options.
