Gerwyn Price will play in the darts Premier League with a fractured hand on Thursday night.
The Welshman suffered the injury earlier in March and missed one night of the competition in Brighton. However, he recently returned to action, despite hospital scans showing he has fractured a bone in his throwing hand. But the 36-year-old has revealed he has opted against wearing a cast to ensure he can continue to compete in the Premier League.

"I was still in discomfort with my hand so I went back to the hospital and the X-ray showed a small fracture," said Price. "The usual course of action would be to be put in plaster for four weeks, but with the Premier League and other events that's not something I wanted.
"I'll be wearing the splint now other than when I'm playing darts, and making sure that I rest the hand enough when I'm not to allow it to heal properly. I've shown that I can still play good darts despite the injury and I'll be trying my hardest to get the win in Birmingham on Thursday."
Even with the injury, Price still managed to win a Players Championship title in Germany last weekend, scooping £12,000 in prize money as a result.
Price's injury means his charity boxing contest against close friend Rhys Evans has been delayed. The bout was scheduled for April 9 but will now take place on May 13. Funds generated from the event will be donated to Cancer Research Wales, St David's Hospice Care and the Velindre Cancer Centre.
Price takes on Joe Cullen in the quarter-finals of Thursday's Premier League night at the Utilita Arena in Birmingham. The event starts at 7pm.
