Gerry Cinnamon at Singleton Park, Swansea: The road closures for this weekend's gig

Motorists have been warned of a series of road closures which will be in place when Gerry Cinnamon plays his long-awaited gig in Swansea. The Scottish singer, known for hits such as Belter, Canter, Sometimes and Ghost, will entertain Welsh fans in what promises to be his biggest performance in the country to date.

The gig takes place at Singleton Park on Saturday, June 4. The venue has a long history of hosting major music gigs including Stereophonics, Foals, Noel Gallagher, Olly Murs and much more. And it is not the only big gig heading to the park this year, we'll also see the likes of Nile Rodgers & Chic, Anne-Marie and Paul Weller there before 2022 is out. In order to facilitate the event and look after the safety of the thousands who descend on the city attraction for the occasion, Swansea Council has announced that road closures, traffic diversions and parking restrictions will be in place at Brynmill Lane (between Oystermouth Road and Gower Road) from 3pm until 11.30pm, Gower Road (between Eversley Road and De La Beche Road) from 10pm until 11.30pm, and Mumbles Road (between Sketty Lane and Gorse Lane) from 10pm until 11.30pm. Cinnamon will have some top bands completing the line-up on the day, including triple platinum album-selling indie favourites, The Kooks. The band, made up of members, Luke Pritchard, Hugh Harris and Alexis Nunez, are well known for hits such as She Moves In Her Own Way, Naive and Ooh La. Completing the line-up will be Yorkshire band The Reytons, whose top hits include Red Smoke and Kids Off The Estate. You can read our full preview of the gig by clicking here.
