Flares, megaphones and 'legal highs' are all on the list of banned items at Singleton Park in Swansea and Cardiff Castle as Gerry Cinnamon performs at both outdoor venues in what promises to be a huge weekend for the Scottish singer.
The singer-songwriter and acoustic guitarist, best known for hits like Belter, Sometimes, Where We're Going, Canter and Ghost, will be in Swansea on Saturday, June 4 and Cardiff on Sunday, June 5 performing in front of thousands of fans in what will be his biggest Welsh outing yet. It comes on the back of the success of his second album 'The Bonny', which shot straight to Number 1 in the Official Album Charts in the UK. Organisers have now published a full list of instructions concerning the items which will be banned from the huge concerts. Here's what has been said.
- Do not bring a bag if you can possibly avoid it. If you must please don’t bring one larger than an A4 sheet of paper.
- Do not bring anything that could be considered a weapon.
- Do not bring any type of pyrotechnics such as fireworks, flares or smoke bombs.
- Do not bring aerosols, airhorns, megaphones, gas canisters, psychoactive.
- Substances aka ‘legal’ highs, paper lanterns or glass items. These will be confiscated upon entry and not returned.
- Do not arrive with any form of professional audio or visual recording equipment.
- Do not bring an umbrella to the event.
- Do not bring dogs to the event (with the exception of assistance dogs).
- Do not bring any valuables if it can be helped.
- Do not bring furniture of any kind.
- Do not bring food and drink into the event.
The organisers warn that the lead booker of the tickets must be in attendance and encourage those attending to arrive in good time prior to the start of the concert, due to additional security checks and other events in the area. You are encouraged to bring a valid photo ID as a strict 'Challenge 25' policy will be operational in terms of the sale of alcohol.
