Germany vs Scotland: TV channel, live stream, kick-off time & team news

The wait is nearly over.

For a second successive European Championships, Scotland will participate among the rest of the continent's elite.

Steve Clarke and his players made relatively easy work of their qualifying campaign against the likes of Spain, Norway and Georgia.

Now, with mid-June fast approaching, it almost time to do battle in the tournament properly.

Over 100,000 Scots are expected to be in Germany for Euro 2024.

And a fair number of those will be in Munich on Friday night for the competition's first game.

Here is everything you need to know...

When is Germany vs Scotland?

Germany will host Scotland for the opening game of Euro 2024 TODAY on Friday, June 14.

The game will kick-off at 8pm UK time.

It will be played at the Allianz Arena, Munich.

Is Germany vs Scotland on TV and can I live stream it?

Yes, thankfully this game will be broadcast live on terrestrial television.

The game will be showcased live on STV. Viewers outside of Scotland will have the option to watch it on ITV.

The Group A opener can also be accessed for live stream via the STV Player app.

Team news

Managers of both teams will likely deliver updated team news closer to the time.

We know that Scott McTominay and Stuart Armstrong have both been rested in Scotland's warm-up matches as a pre-caution.

But with the former being one of Clarke's key players, it seems likely he will be involved from the start if fit.

Aside from that, everyone associated will be hoping Scotland keep a clean bill of health until the big kick-off, and indeed throughout the tournament.

Scotland lost several key players to injury in the lead up to Germany. Lyndon Dykes, Lewis Ferguson, Aaron Hickey and Nathan Patterson were all ruled out.

Liverpool youngster Ben Doak - who received his first senior call-up ahead of the tournament - also had to withdraw due to injury.
