Germany v England TV and live stream info as Newcastle United's Kieran Trippier eyes start

England will be desperate to get their Nations League campaign back on track as they face Germany in their second match this evening. The Three Lions were disappointingly beaten 1-0 by Hungary in Budapest on Saturday with Dominik Szoboszlai’s penalty proving the difference between the teams.

Newcastle United supporters might have been hoping to see Kieran Trippier back in action but he remained an unused substitute. Trent Alexander-Arnold was preferred at right wing-back while James Justin was handed his England debut on the opposite flank.

Gareth Southgate might be keen to restore Trippier to the starting XI due to the defensive stability that he has justified his selection with previously. With Magpies fans hopeful of seeing their right-back involved from the start in Munich, here are all the details you need to know ahead of the game.

Trippier’s hopes of a return to the England starting XI are boosted by the injury sustained by Justin that forced him out of the Hungary defeat at half-time. Fikayo Tomori is also likely to miss out with a minor issue while Phil Foden’s positive Covid-19 test rules him out as well.

Marc Guehi will come into Southgate’s reckoning as he has returned from an injury of his own but is unlikely to start ahead of Harry Maguire and John Stones. As well as Stones, Kalvin Phillips and Raheem Sterling look likely to come back into the team while Bukayo Saka, Reece James and Jack Grealish could be in contention to return.
