Germany v England TV and live stream info as Leeds United's Kalvin Phillips eyes start

England will be looking to bounce back from their disappointing 1-0 defeat to Hungary on Saturday when they face Germany this evening. The Three Lions kicked off their Nations League campaign in the worst possible way at the weekend and will be hopeful of producing a performance against the Germans similar to that of their 2-0 win at the Euros last summer.

Leeds United midfielder Kalvin Phillips is expected to be recalled to the starting XI after playing just 11 minutes at the weekend. Phillips, along with Declan Rice, has been Gareth Southgate’s chosen midfield partnership in the last two years, though Jude Bellingham was handed the opportunity to impress in Budapest.

So with Phillips hoping to feature from the start this evening, here is everything you need to know ahead of the game this evening.

Any early England team news?

As aforementioned, it is likely that Southgate will name a strong team this evening, meaning Phillips is expected to start. Other changes could include John Stones replacing Conor Coady, Kieran Trippier coming in for James Justin and Raheem Sterling taking the place of Jarrod Bowen.

Jack Grealish, Reece James and Bukayo Saka will also be pushing to come into the starting XI after they all came off the bench at the weekend. Centre back Marc Guehi is expected to be fit after missing the defeat in Hungary with an injury.

England’s only confirmed absentee remains Phil Foden after his positive Covid test, though Fikayo Tomori and Justin will not be risked due to minor fitness issues.
