Celtic could be battling to keep hold of a key defender in January.
That's because German giants Bayer Leverkusen are eyeing up a move for Cameron Carter-Vickers, according to a report by The Athletic.
Carter-Vickers has featured 88 times since making his loan move from Tottenham Hotspur permanent in summer 2022, having impressed during his previous 45 appearances.
Bayer Leverkusen manager Xabi Alonso is keen to sign an experienced centre-back in the winter transfer window, with Carter-Vickers deemed as a top target.
However, sources indicate that the United States internationalist is focused on his role at Parkhead and unlikely to consider an exit midway through the season.
Celtic, led by Brendan Rodgers, are pursuing a domestic Treble, having already won the Scottish League Cup while holding a 12-point advantage over Rangers in the Scottish Premiership.
Carter-Vickers recently signed a five-and-a-half-year contract, meaning a substantial offer would be needed to entice him away from Glasgow.
