German Mein Schiff 3 cruise liner with 15 bars arrives in Merseyside

A mega cruise ship with nine restaurants and bistros is set to dock in Liverpool.

The Mein Schiff 3, owned by Tui, is due to dock in Liverpool between 8am and 7pm today, with the mega cruise ship boasting luxurious amenities across 15 decks. The luxury cruise ship has been to a number of destinations on its way to Liverpool, with it stopping at Kirkwall, Greenock-Glasgow and Belfast before arriving on Merseyside.

The ship left Bremerhaven in Germany on May 1, with it travelling to Southampton after Liverpool before returning to Germany on May 11. The eight-year-old ship holds up to 2,500 passengers as well as 1,000 members of staff.

She has more than 1,200 cabins and also has an identical sister vessel that was completed a year later in 2015 and called the Mein Schiff 4. The 12 deck of the ship is home to a number of amenities such as a bakery, indoor swimming pool, icebar, essential bar and outdoor pool.

The cruise ship primarily departs and finishes at Bremerhaven, although there are some options that include starting at Mallorca or Gran Canaria. Prices range from €799 per person all the way up to €2,299 per person.
