Georgia vs. TCU: Top prospects to watch in the National Championship Game

The final game of the college football season is upon us, as No. 1 Georgia looks to defend their title against No. 3 TCU in Monday night’s National Championship Game.

It’s no surprise that this game will be loaded with some of the best talent college football has to offer, and will feature many of the names we’ll hear called early in the 2023 NFL draft.

Here are the top prospects in this year’s draft class to watch Monday night:

Georgia DL Jalen Carter

A dominant interior presence, Carter should be a top-five lock, and possibly the first non-quarterback off the board.

TCU WR Quentin Johnston

The top pass-catcher in this year’s draft class, Johnston’s combination of size, athleticism and physicality should immediately make him a No. 1 target in the NFL.

A big, athletic corner with ideal length, Ringo’s had a roller-coaster season so far, but his physical tools give him tons of upside.

TCU CB Tre'Vius Hodges-Tomlinson

Whatever he lacks in size, Hodges-Tomlinson more than makes up for in any other area of his game, making him an ideal slot corner at the next level.

Georgia OT Broderick Jones

A physical, athletic blocker with impressive agility in space, Jones is a punishing run blocker with the physical traits to be just as dominant in the pass game.

TCU CB Josh Newton

Another talented Frogs cover man, Newton has slowly risen up the draft board throughout the season with stellar play all year long.

Georgia TE Darnell Washington

One of the most impressive athletes in the entire class, Washington’s rare combination of size and athleticism should make him a matchup nightmare.

TCU RB Kendre Miller

Miller might not play in this one due to injury, but if he does, he’ll remind everyone that he’s one of the most underrated running back prospects in the class.

Georgia S Christopher Smith II

A hard-hitting playmaker with impressive range and versatility, Smith is exactly the kind of safety today’s NFL teams are desperate to find.

TCU QB Max Duggan

He may not have the high-end physical traits of this year’s top quarterback prospects, but his toughness, competitiveness and versatility will still attract NFL decision-makers.

Georgia RB Kenny McIntosh

Another underrated back, McIntosh has a solid blend of speed, agility, vision and patience that make him a perfect fit in the Bulldogs’ ground game.
