Georgia Toffolo unveils 'real' acne scars which brought her to lowest point in life

Georgia Toffolo, also known as Toff, has been praised as 'brave' after showing off her painful acne journey in an inspiring post on Instagram.

The former Made In Chelsea star, 28, took to the social media platform on Tuesday to showcase her blemishes and acne scars after attempting to hide them for years.

The reality TV star has suffered with acne since the tender age of 13, and all throughout her television career, Toff has been battling with self-image issues behind the scenes - despite coming across as super confident.

Her latest Instagram reel - which has already garnered thousands of positive comments from fans - sees the reality TV star get candid about her skin issues as she shows off her painful-looking spots and scars.

Alongside the inspiring video, Toff insisted that she is no longer going to hide or shy away from showing off her natural skin after trying to cover up her blemishes for years with the use of heavy makeup.

"There are many things that we're taught in life that define us and our worth, especially as women," Toff says in the candid video.

"As you grow older, you realise these things are not as important as they seem. There is strength in being vulnerable and being real. My skin and acne journey has taken me to some of the lowest points in my life.

"All the while, I have been pushing forward in my career, but it has always been something that has been there. It has been something to hide to avoid nasty comments, ridicule, and hate.

"But I'm done with hiding, our skin does not affect our worth. We are all beautiful, just as we are - no filters, no covering up, no makeup. You deserve to live your life without your skin holding you back. You are beautiful."

Georgia has a new documentary airing on ITV which follows the TV star investigate the multi-billion-pound acne industry.

Toff will reveal the risks that people are taking in their journey for 'perfect skin.'

She will also open up about her own personal experience with her skin and acne, with the hope to shed light on what's really going on in the spot-fighting industry.

The ITV documentary, Georgia Toffolo: In Search of Perfect Skin , will air on Wednesday 30, November at 9pm where we see Toff embark on a new course of drug after previously taking a well-known but controversial prescription acne medication called Roaccutane.
