The state of Georgia 2, Florida State 0. That’s what the ‘Noles record is in their last two college football games.
After being annihilated by Georgia in the Orange Bowl, FSU started the 2024 college football season by losing to Georgia Tech, 24-21, on Saturday in Dublin,
‘The winning points came as time expired on a 44-yard field goal by Aidan Birr. The sophomore kicker from Texas’ kick split the uprights to give the double-digit underdogs the stunning victory.

Georgia Tech had not beaten a Top 10 team since October of 2015 when it upended then-No. 9 Florida State on the last play of that game, returning a blocked field goal 78 yards for a 22-16 victory.
The ‘Noles saw a 12-game undefeated streak against ACC foes end. Transfer quarterback DJ Uiagalelei returned to the ACC after starting his career at Clemson before going to Oregon State. He led a drive that saw the game tied at 21 before Georgia Tech went on its game-winning march.
In the Orange Bowl last college football postseason, Florida State was manhandled by Georgia, 63-3.
Per our elite @ESPNStatsInfogrouo: Florida State was 17-1 in season openers as a Top-10 team against unranked opponents, with the lone loss coming in 1989 against Southern Miss. Haynes King joins Brett Favre in pulling the rare upset.

And we’re reduced to playing this card in August already. How many times will it be repeated?
Man, tough loss for the Noles over in Ireland to a good GT team.
The great news is with the new 12 team playoff, there’s still plenty of opportunities to climb back into the bracket. Regroup and keep battlin!
