The Georgia Bulldogs are ranked No. 6 in the final US LBM Coaches Poll of the 2024-2025 college football season. Georgia dropped four spots from No. 2 after losing to the Notre Dame Fighting Irish in the quarterfinals of the College Football Playoff (Sugar Bowl).
Notre Dame advanced to the national championship before falling to the Ohio State Buckeyes, 34-23. Ohio State finished the year ranked No. 1.
Georgia finished the season as SEC champions with an 11-3 record. Georgia recorded ranked wins over No. 3 Texas (twice), No. 8 Tennessee and No. 11 Clemson. All of Georgia’s three losses came to ranked opponents (No. 2 Notre Dame, No. 17 Alabama and No. 13 Ole Miss). It does not make much sense that Georgia is ranked behind No. 3 Texas, which Georgia beat twice including at Texas and in the SEC championship.
Georgia is ranked behind Ohio State, Notre Dame, Texas, Oregon (No. 4) and Penn State (No. 5). The Bulldogs are scheduled to play four teams that finished this ranked in the top 25 during the 2025 college football season.
