Georgia RB Trevor Etienne makes decision for 2025

Georgia junior running back Trevor Etienne is reportedly staying with the Bulldogs for 2025 instead of declaring for the NFL draft. He met with coach Kirby Smart to inform him of his decision.

The 2025 college football season will be his last year of eligibility.

Etienne originally signed with the Florida Gators as a class of 2022 four-star recruit. With Florida, he split carries with Montrell Johnson Jr, totaling 1,472 yards and 14 touchdowns in two seasons.

However, in the 2024 offseason, he transferred to the Georgia Bulldogs. Etienne was set to be the lead back in Georgia, but he and the run game disappointed.

He ran for 605 yards and nine touchdowns on 122 carries, but he was suspended against Clemson and he suffered a rib injury that forced him out for the last three regular-season games.

Etienne will get another shot as the lead back with Georgia. Etienne and Nate Frazier form a dynamic duo, but there are questions surrounding the UGA offensive line after four starters entered the 2025 NFL draft. Georgia’s current running back room (Etienne, Frazier and Cash Jones) is expected to return and three-star signee Bo Walker will join the backfield.
