Georgia Bulldogs running back Roderick Robinson has reportedly suffered a lower body injury ahead of the Sugar Bowl. Robinson suffered the injury in practice and is not expected to play in the Sugar Bowl against the Notre Dame Fighting Irish.
Robinson battled injuries for much of the 2024 college football season. He returned for the Georgia Tech game and recorded four carries for three yards. Robinson also appeared in the SEC championship game against Texas, but he did not record any stats.
The injury is a setback for the sophomore running back. However, Georgia has leaned on Trevor Etienne and Nate Frazier for most of the season. Running backs Branson Robinson and Chauncey Bowens could also see carries if Frazier or Etienne need a break.
Georgia was already without star quarterback Carson Beck for the Sugar Bowl. The Bulldogs are expected to lean on quarterback Gunner Stockton some in the run game.
