Georgia Bulldogs running back Cash Jones announced he’s staying with the Bulldogs in 2025. Jones has one last season of eligibility remaining.
Jones is considered the most talented pass-catcher in Georgia’s backfield. He led all Georgia running backs in receiving yards with 275. He also caught four touchdowns last year.
Jones was a walk-on that joined UGA in 2021. He’s never been used as a primary rusher and has never eclipsed 165 rushing yards, but 2024 was his breakout year as a pass-catching running back. He only had 27 yards rushing, but he had 275 yards receiving, including at least 35 yards and a touchdown in each of the last four games.
Jones’ return is welcoming news for Georgia, but there are a ton of Georgia Bulldogs leaving, especially on the defensive side of the ball. In total, 13 Georgia Bulldogs are declaring for the draft, and 11 Dawgs have already left via the transfer portal.
Georgia has had some success with the transfer portal as of late. They picked up three safeties (Adrian Maddox, Zion Branch, Jaden Harris), and two receivers (Zachariah Branch, Noah Thomas).
