Georgia ranks outside of top five in final AP poll

The final AP rankings came out after the 2024-2025 college fotoball season and the Georgia Bulldogs ranked outside of the top five for the first time since the end of the 2020 season.

No. 6 Georgia (11-3) earned the ranking after a Sugar Bowl loss to the No. 2 Notre Dame Fighting Irish, who made it all the way to the national championship. Ohio State, of course, earns the No. 1 spot for winning the national championship.

The SEC has seven teams in the top 25, leading all conferences. It shows the SEC’s might as the best conference in the nation.

There are a couple strange rankings. Ole Miss and BYU ended the year ahead of playoff teams SMU and Clemson.
