While it is a bit early to be talking about the draft given the newest NFL season hasn’t even kicked off, the question of who will be the next top quarterback in a given class is always hovering on fan’s and analyst’s minds. Georgia quarterback Carson Beck showed last season that he has all the potential to be that top quarterback and if he grows on what we already saw, he could be a locked in number one overall pick.

Yards – 3949 – 1st
1st Downs – 197 – 2nd
Adj Comp % – 81.9% – 2nd

After leading Georgia to a dominant 13-1 record Beck looks locked in to have his team humming as one of the best offensive units in the entire country. While Georgia has heavily leaned on it’s running game in the past, it’s likely this season the Bulldogs will turn to Beck to amp up this offense to an even higher level given the talent he portrayed already.

With a live arm, plenty of accuracy and touch on all levels of the throw, a keen understanding of what is in front of him, and a knack for finding the big play through the air, Beck looks to buck the trend of dual-threat quarterbacks going at the top of the draft. Beck is by no means slow and sluggish and is athletic in his own right, but he will do nearly all his damage this season and in the pros with his arm. Beck is an established pocket passer who has shown the ability to shred the defense from inside the offensive line, and could end up as the next great Georgia quarterback at the next level.
