Four-star defensive line recruit Amaris Williams has received a scholarship offer from the Georgia Bulldogs.
Who is Amaris Williams?
Williams plays high school football for Clinton High School in Clinton, North Carolina. He is a member of the class of 2024. He is ranked as the No. 263 recruit in the rising senior class. Williams is the fifth-ranked player in North Carolina and the No. 29 defensive lineman.
The four-star defender could be one of the latest North Carolina high school players, such as Todd Gurley and Jordan Davis, to commit to Georgia. The 6-foot-3, 260-pound defensive lineman projects as a 3-4 defensive end or 3-4 outside linebacker in Georgia’s defensive scheme.
The Clinton standout plans to commit on Aug. 16. Williams also runs track for Clinton.
On tape, Williams shows excellent power. He frequently overwhelms opposing offensive linemen with his combination of strength and explosiveness. Additionally, he shows excellent versatility. Williams plays both running back and defensive line.
Williams announced his scholarship offer from Georgia football via Twitter:
