Georgia Bulldogs junior running back Trevor Etienne surprised quite a few folks, including his teammate Nate Frazier, when he decided to declare for the 2025 NFL draft.
Etienne has accepted an invitation to the 2025 Senior Bowl. The Senior Bowl now allows underclassmen to compete in the predraft event. NFL draft scouts and executives will attend the Senior Bowl, which is the NFL’s most prestigious predraft scrimmage. Etienne is one of seven Georgia Bulldogs to accept an invitation to the Senior Bowl, which is the second-most of any college program behind the Oregon Ducks (eight).
Etienne transferred to Georgia after spending two seasons with the Florida Gators. He played a big role in Georgia’s SEC championship victory over Texas and memorably scored the game-winning touchdown in overtime.
Etienne totaled 609 rushing yards on 122 carries and scored a team-high nine rushing touchdowns in 2024. Etienne was also quite effective as a pass catcher and is the type of versatile playmaker that NFL teams love.
The talented running back missed some time in 2024 due to a ribs injury and a suspension in Week 1 against Clemson. Etienne earned third-team All-SEC honors in his lone season with UGA.
Senior Bowl will be played in Mobile, Alabama, on Feb. 1, 2025 at 2:30 p.m. ET.
