A Georgia judge overseeing the 2020 election interference case involving former President Trump has granted Trump and his co-defendants the opportunity to appeal the decision that denied the disqualification of District Attorney Fani Wills.
Fulton County Superior Judge Scott McAfee issued a certificate of immediate review on Wednesday, allowing Trump and eight co-defendants to pursue an appeal of the ruling.
The Georgia Court of Appeals now has 45 days to determine whether they will hear the case, starting from March 15 when the initial order was issued. It is important to note that under Georgia law, the Georgia Court of Appeals is not obligated to take on the case.
