The Republican Governors Association played a crucial role in maintaining the party's 27-23 gubernatorial advantage in the recent elections. Looking ahead, Kemp acknowledged the upcoming challenging election cycles in Virginia, New Jersey, and the 36 races in 2026. He stressed the importance of fundraising to remain competitive against Democratic spending and to support strong candidates aligned with Republican policies.

While Kemp cannot seek re-election in 2026 due to term limits, he expressed a commitment to ensuring Republican successors in Georgia and other states.
