The Bulldogs are the first college football champions invited to the Capital since the Clemson Tigers in 2019.
It seemed that Georgia wouldn’t be invited for a consecutive year considering the amount of time passed since the Bulldogs took down TCU 65-7 in the college football playoff final on January 9.
UGA defensive tackle sent this Tweet just three days prior to the announcement.
