North Carolina quarterback Jacolby Criswell started 11 games in his career with the Tar Heels, including most of the 2024 season.
He completed 186 of 320 passes for 2,459 yards, 15 touchdowns and six interceptions this past season. On the ground, Criswell had 71 carries for 103 yards and three touchdowns. His season concluded with a loss in the Fenway Bowl.
Georgia is set to return Gunner Stockton, who started in the Bulldogs’ College Football Playoff quarterfinal loss to Notre Dame. Carson Beck initially declared for the 2025 NFL draft but later entered the transfer portal and signed with Miami. Meanwhile, former Arizona State transfer Jaden Rashada spent one season in Athens before entering the transfer portal this month.
The Bulldogs have reached out to Criswell as their latest transfer quarterback target. Georgia has also shown interest in former Buffalo starter C.J. Ogbonna, who posted 2,381 passing yards and 19 touchdowns during the 2024 season.
With the Georgia quarterback room only having one guy with starting experience, the Bulldogs are on the hunt for an experienced quarterback before spring practice starts. Georgia’s current backup quarterback is projected to be Ryan Puglisi.
