Two Georgia firefighters, a former couple, were found deceased in Tennessee after being missing for over a week. The bodies of Raegan Anderson, 25, and Chandler Kuhbander, 24, were discovered in Cocke County, about 450 miles away from their hometown of Hinesville, Georgia. They were found in Anderson's vehicle.
Reports indicate that the relationship between the two had ended recently, with Kuhbander's mother describing it as a 'toxic' union that lasted over seven years. Following the breakup, Anderson reportedly struggled to come to terms with the separation and made threats of self-harm.
Events leading up to their disappearance included an incident where Anderson allegedly vandalized Kuhbander's car after he went on a date with another woman. Anderson was arrested for this act but was later released on bond. Concerns about potential job loss at the fire department added to her distress.
On the day before they went missing, Anderson's behavior raised alarms as she wrote a suicide note and exhibited concerning actions. Surveillance footage showed her circling a gym parking lot where Kuhbander was, and he was last seen getting into her vehicle under what his mother described as 'duress.'
Despite the breakup, Kuhbander tried to support Anderson, but her escalating behavior led to harassment and distress for him. Tragically, both individuals were found deceased days later in Tennessee.
An autopsy will be conducted to determine the cause of death for the two Liberty County firefighters. Authorities have not released details about the circumstances surrounding the discovery of their bodies and the events leading to their deaths.
In the aftermath of the tragedy, Kuhbander's sister expressed her grief and love for her brother in a heartfelt tribute on social media, highlighting the impact of his loss on their family.
