Georgia DL Warren Brinson makes NFL draft decision

Georgia Bulldogs senior defensive lineman Warren Brinson is declaring for the 2025 NFL draft. Brinson announced his decision in a post via socia media.

Brinson thanked his family, football coaches, teammates and Georgia fans in a lengthy statement on his decision to declare for the draft.

“My college football career  has come to an end, but now there’s a new lifelong dream to pursue. With that being said, I am excited to announce that I will be officially entering the 2025 NFL draft,” Brinson said. “I look forward to carrying the lessons I’ve learned at Georgia into this next chapter and making everyone who has supported me proud. The best is yet to come!”

Brinson started his Georgia career in 2020 after being a four-star recruit out of IMG Academy. Brinson played immediately as a freshman and used his extra year of COVID-19 eligibility in 2024, so he really could not have returned in 2025.

Brinson played in 59 games in his Georgia career. He recorded 71 total tackles, six sacks and 14 tackles for a loss in his five year UGA career. Brinson posted a career-best 26 tackles, six tackles for a loss and two sacks in 2024.

The 6-foot-4, 310-pound defensive tackle is projected as a late NFL draft pick or an undrafted free agent. Regardless of his draft status, Brinson will be a tough part of the UGA defensive line to replace.

Brinson joins Georgia quarterback Carson Beck and offensive guard Tate Ratledge in declaring for the draft.

Georgia got good news on Monday when defensive tackle Christen Miller announced his return for 2025.

Brinson ends his time at UGA as a two-time national champion and a two-time SEC champion.

The 2025 NFL draft will be held at Lambeau Field in Green Bay, Wisconsin, from April 24-26.
